Kevin Darnell Hart was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where his mother raised him. Before finding success in comedy, he worked as a shoe salesman and performed at local amateur nights under the name Lil' Kev the Bastard. His career shifted when he began using real-life personal experiences for his material, leading to breakout stand-up specials like I'm a Grown Little Man and Laugh at My Pain. He quickly transitioned into a major Hollywood actor and producer, starring in box-office hits such as Think Like a Man, Ride Along, and the Jumanji franchise.
